What is a Brake?
The function of the brake is a system created to stop or slow down. There are two types of brakes on vehicles, namely foot and hand brakes. We use the handbrake after parking and the foot brake to slow down while driving the vehicle.
How Does the Brake Work?
Most motor vehicles must have brakes. The braking system is formed in the form of converting kinetic energy into heat energy along with friction. With this energy, it also applies force to the wheels, allowing them to stop or slow down.
Parts of the Brake System:
- Brake pedal,
-Central pump,
- Brake pads,
-Brake records,
-Hydraulic tank and discs are parts of the brake system.
Safety considerations for the brake are also found in new production vehicles. These are ASR, ABS and FDR. Thanks to them, it will perform functions such as braking only on certain tires when cornering or skidding during braking.
